community futures Port Glasgow residents have given their vision for the town. After months of research and a successful community event in June, the Port Glasgow Community Action Plan has been launched. The plan was compiled under the Community Futures project through a partnership between Inverclyde Community Development Trust and Inverclyde Council Community Development. It was led by an advisory group of local representatives and is based around local people’s vision for the future of the town and identifies seven key areas for work and suggests new projects for the community. bizfizz BizFizz offers free and confidential support for people looking to set up new businesses in Port Glasgow, or improve their existing business.. The project is a partnership between 7˝ and the New Economics Foundation and it is the first of its kind in Scotland. The New Economics Foundation created BizFizz because they believe in local enterprise and that enterprise should be at the heart of any regeneration programme; without it these programmes will not succeed |
