centre history It is true to say that 7½ John Wood Street hasn't been open that long, in the grand scale of things, yet it has managed to create a story of itself in a very short time. In an unexpectly short space of time, the centre has become an integral part of the Port Glasgow community. At the time of writing the text for this page, around five thousand people have used the centre and just under a thousand have attended training, both through training provided by the centre and those attending programmes through Trust employability. This section is, and will continually be under development as we add more to the collection. In the meantime, have a look through our collection of some of the things that have happened in the centre, just click the arrow below. The press clippings in this section are courtesy of Inverclyde's local newspaper - The Greenock Telegraph If you have pictures from an event you have attended at the Centre and wish to share it, please send it to us using the contact details opposite along with a brief description of the day. Alternatively, pop into the Centre and we'll scan your picture and return it to you there and then. |
